The former Director's Cottage was renamed when it became the home of the Perkins Deafblind Program in 1956. Helen Keller participated in the dedication of the building that honored her accomplishments and the work of her teacher Anne Sullivan. The image shows Helen Keller unveiling a plaque containing the building dedication. She has a wide smile on her face. Polly Thomson stands next to Keller guiding her hand and holding a large bouquet of flowers. An unidentified man is visible behind the plaque.
