Collation: Parchment, fol. ii (modern paper) + 34 + ii (modern paper) ; 1-2⁶ 3⁶⁻² (final two leaves cancelled) ; lower right corner recto in first half of each quire signed 1-6 in 14th-century arabic numerals. Catchwords in lower right corner, last verso of each quire, contained within a border. Original arabic foliation in brown ink, upper right corner of each recto, begins with 55 and reaches 88 at end, modern pencil arabic foliation on the upper outer corner of each page.
Layout: Bounding and writing lines in light brown plummet or in blind.
Script: Written in a gothic cursive (cursiva libraria) in brown ink.
Decoration: Seven- to nine-line "puzzle" initials in blue and gold with blue and red filigree on fol. 9v and 25v, three-line blue and red initials elsewhere, red or blue paragraph markers. Geometric diagrams on fol. 26, 27, 27v, 28v, 33v in brown ink, illustrating Canones de sinibus.
Binding: 18th-century green morocco by Zaehnsdorf, London, gilt filllet border, edges and turn-ins, title gilt on spine, "JOH. DE SAXONIA. JOH. DE LINNERIIS CANONES TABULARIA MS. XIV CENTURY," paper endleaves and pastedowns.
