Letter from George Thompson, Leeds, [England], to William Lloyd Garrison, August 23rd 1877
Description:
George Thompson, unable to meet with Wililam Lloyd Garrison in person on the latter's departure from England, sends Garrison his "farewell thoughts and greetings". Thompson remarks on Garrison's good fortune to have the companionship of his devoted son, Frank, and opines that Frank undoubtedly "laid the foundation" of many valuable friendships while in England.
