Amos Augustus Phelps describes to Sarah Ann Haggins his journey to Andover after meeting her [in Berwick?]. He then gives advice concerning being a future minister’s wife: go to live in Boston to widen her horizon, and “read--read as much as possible, study--improve every opportunity for acquiring information--be a literary lady--Remember the station to which you are destined.”
