The item includes two receipted bills. One is an $8.68 bill issued to Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society by Nathaniel Greene for letter postage, newspapers and boxes. An approval for the payment was signed on the verso by four people. The receipt was signed by somebody other than Greene. The other document is a $3 bill issued to Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society by Amos A. Phelps for cash paid for moving the library to the present office location and for other housekeeping works. This bill contains a receipt signed by Phelps, as well as an approval signed by S. Philbrick, the chairman of the committee on finance & bills.
