<mods:abstract>William Logan inquires of William Lloyd Garrison as to the date he will be available to visit Rochdale during his stay in Manchester. Logan asserts that he is holding a number of meetings on the subject of "American Man-Stealing" in his neighborhood, and reports that the subject is "almost new to the people". Logan states that he gave an address on slavery the previous evening, on the Sabbath, and informs Garrison that the reading of an oration from Frederick Douglass's "Narrative" produced a "powerful impression on the audience".</mods:abstract>
