Marion Ruthven Waterston was the daughter of Robert Waterston and Hepsibah Lord, and sister of Rev. Robert Cassie Waterston and Helen Elizabeth Waterston Deane. She married George Clements Lord, son of George Lord and Olive Jefferds. George's paternal, and Marion's maternal, grandparents were Liuetenant Tobias Lord and his second wife Hepsibah Conant. Their children were Robert Waterston Lord, Marion Ruthven Lord, Caroline Lucy Lord, and Charles Edward Lord.
