Text from item: Industrial Shelter Drill is observed by director of U.S. Office of Defense and Civilian Mobilization, Leo A. Heogh (right). Drill took place August 26 at Hamilton Standard, division of United Aircraft Corporation, Windsor Locks, Connecticut. It was Director Hoegh's first opportunity to observe industrial shelter drill since taking office. Leo Mulcahy, director, Connecticut Civil Defense, looks on as P.S. Barnes explains operation of CD program at the plant. Mr. Barnes is coordinator of the Auxiliary Defense Corps at Hamilton Standard.
