Letter from Joseph Avery Howland, Worcester, [Mass.], to Samuel May, Nov. 15, 1887
Description:
Howland complains that the [Worcester?] "Spy" printed a "ribald article" by Eli Thayer. He sends a copy of Sunday's "New York Tribune" from November 6 that contained a letter by former Governor Charles Robinson in praise of Thayer. Howland says he will send the Thayer article in the "Spy" to Oliver Johnson. He discusses Thayer's attack.
