Description:
Aerial view of the Granby Mills plant of the Pacific Mills, Columbia, S.C. Photo by Jimmy Price, 2506 Magnolia St., Columbia, S.C. Ph.23246. Gelatin silver print, [1946-50]. Image depicts an aerial view of the Granby Mills, part of Pacific Mills, located in Columbia, S.C. View shows a four-story building with two five-story towers in front, along with an addition on the left, and a water tower visible in the rear. A two-story building (possibly the offices?) is in the foreground with some cars parked next to it. There are several sets of railroad tracks in the rear, which appear to come to a point on the right beyond the edge of the photo. A few houses are visible in the extreme right foreground. The Granby Mills had become part of Pacific Mills by 1917. 35.5 x 28 cm. (OCLC)
