New-England Palladium, No. 19, Vol. XLI, printed by Young & Minns in Boston, Massachusetts on Friday, March 5, 1813. An article on page 1, column 5, includes a description, with order of procession and toasts, of a dinner at the Exchange Coffee House for Commodore William Bainbridge and the officers of USS Constitution to celebrate the victory over HMS Java. Captain Isaac Hull was also present. Another article on page 1, column 6, includes a letter to Bainbridge from the Washington Benevolent Society of Charlestown, Massachusetts congratulating him and the crew for their victory. Bainbridge's reply follows the letter.
