Atherton Curtis, art collector, b. in New York 1863, settled in Paris 1903. C. is a great connoisseur of graphic art, and in his collection masters are represented, from the birth of engraving to those of today. Louise Burleigh Curtis, b. 1869 at Hampden, Maine; d. in Paris; m. A. Curtis in 1894; was his collaborator in collecting and, as a pupil of Luc Olivier Merson, has herself done some painting.
