Nils Edvard Kreuger, artist, born at Kalmar, S.E. Sweden, 1858. He executed a number of landscape and town-pictures with delicate light-effects, usually with horses as accessories. During the last year of the 19th century he belonged to the so-called "Varberg Colony" (with R. Bergh and K. Nordstrom, etc.. Varberg is a Swedish west coast town), and then devoted himself almost exclusively to animal and landscape painting with Swedish motifs.
