View towards East Main Street and the valley beyond taken from the hill behind the District Eight School and the Odd Fellows Hall. In the middle of the image is the High School. The first library in town was established in 1878 and housed here. Through the valley flows the Nashua River spanned by the trestle for the Massachusetts Central Railroad. Note the cellar holes and the many trees that have been cut down and piled up to make way for the Wachusett Reservoir. Circa1895-1905.
