Letter from Parker Pillsbury, Bristol, [England], to Samuel RMay, Dec. 21st, 1854
Description:
Pillsbury claims that George Thompson's newspaper, "The Empire," did not report the London Conference of the British and Foreign Anti-Slavery Society accurately. He describes a speech he made himself, which he says will be written up accurately in "The Anti-Slavery Advocate." He complains of George Thompson's conduct and describes Mrs. Maria Weston Chapman's reaction to his description of the conference. Pillsbury tells May that he disapproves of the British and Foreign Anti-Slavery Society.
