Letter from Abby Kelley Foster, Lynn, [Mass.], to William Lloyd Garrison, 10 Mo[nth] 20 [day] [18]37
Description:
Abby Kelley Foster encloses money pledged by her local anti-slavery society to support the Liberator. She writes: "I trust the time is now fully come when thou will take a decided stand for all truths, under the conviction that the whole are necessary to the permanent establishment of the single one; for altho' some, or rather, many of our Abolitionists are fearful of the result of such a course, it appears to me that such have never yet comprehended the nature of truth." She sends Beverly's letters and hopes an American edition will be published. She asks about Henry Clarke Wright.
