Collation: Parchment, fol. iii (one leaf of 19th-century paper, two leaves of early parchment) + 117 + fol. i (early parchment) ; I⁸(-1 leaf before fol. 1, with loss of text) II-X⁸ XI⁸(-5, fol. 84, with loss of text, replaced with a blank leaf of 19th-century paper) XII⁸(-2, fol. 89, with loss of text, replaced with a blank parchment leaf) XIII-XIV⁸ XV⁶(+2, fol.113 is a singleton) ; horizontal catchwords at the end of each quire. Modern arabic foliation, in pencil, without breaks for missing or cancelled leaves, thus reaching 117. Those numbers used here for reference.
Layout: Single column, 12 lines, bounding and writing lines ruled in red. Guide letters throughout.
Script: Written in two humanist bookhands under gothic influence (see, for example, biting between the bows of adjacent letters, throughout). Hand 1: fol.1-83v (Hours of the Virgin); hand 2: fol. 85r-117r.
Decoration: With seven illuminated white vine initials of three to six lines at the beginning of each hour in the Hours of the Virgin. Two-line illuminated initials on blue and purple grounds at the beginnings of each psalm, hymn, etc. Alternating blue and gold capitals throughout.
Binding: Bound in ca. 19th-century gilt red goatskin. Edges sprinkled in red.
