Ms. codex.
Bibliographic record created by BPL staff based primarily on description by Dr. Lisa Fagin Davis.
Title devised by cataloger.
Origin: Written in Germany, possibly Bamberg, for the use of Dominican nuns, around the year 1470 (the litany includes Katherine de Senis, canonized in 1461). The Propers following each Commons office include such Bamberg saints as Henry, Cunigund, Sebaldus, and Ottonis, Bishop of Bamberg.
- Notes (ownership):
-
Provenance: Early notes and dealers' marks inside front cover and on flyleaves, including the ex libris of one "Maria Agnesz"(?) and other illegible names with pencilled numbers and notations. 18th-century engraved prayer card of the Dominican saint Peter Martyr laid in, as well as 19th-century German ms. notes in ink.
