William Lloyd Garrison cautions Fanny Garrison Villard against overtaxing her strength by writing too many letters. William L. Garrison's sholder and arm are still sore. He and Mrs. Garrison are being cared for by Dr. Munroe. He does not expect the National Testimonial gift to amount to more than $10,000. George Thompson "did not get one thousand dollars on his 'loyal testimonial.'" Garrison wants to buy the Perkins estate with money from the testimonial. Charlotte Coffin leaves in a few days. Garrison gives news of his children.
