Merrill, Walter M. Letters of William Lloyd Garrison, v.4, no.188.
Handwritten copy of letter; not William Lloyd Garrison's handwriting.
William Lloyd Garrison encloses a letter from the Rev. Claudius Bradford of Montague, apparently inviting Garrison to lecture there. Garrison enumerates the reasons why he is doubtful of accepting and asks Samuel May's advice. The Transcript newspaper "basely refuses" Garrison's reply to "Sigma."
