William Lloyd Garrison sends a copy of the Liberator containing Twitchell's agreement. John Pierpont has written a scathing song against slave hunting, which will be sung at the grove. Garrison hopes Samuel May can persuade Thomas Wentworth Higginson to speak at the celebration on August 1.
