They had an enthusiastic meeting here about the Free Church, the Evangelical Alliance, and Dr. Wardlaw's letter. The immense City Hall was crowded, with hundreds of men and women standing. Richard Davis Webb should not take the risk, trouble, and expense of travelling to Liverpool to see William Lloyd Garrison off; also, Henry Clarke Wright need not come.
