Item Information
Title:
Donkey stallion owned by Mrs. Patton - sire of Dominico II
Description:
Joan Egleston Appleton (1912-2006) stands in a grassy area just behind a donkey. The donkey wears decorative tack, including a large tuft of plumes or feathers attached to its head and back. The donkey is harnessed to a small wooden cart with large wheels, both of which are elaborately painted. Other figures can be seen at the top of a grassy slope, along with what appears to be the black hood of a carriage.
