The body of Thomas Thurmond, alleged kidnaper and slayer of Brooke Hart, shown after a mob which dragged him from the county jail, completed its work, San Jose, California, November 27, 1933. He was beaten and hanged from a tree in the St James city park, 100 yards from the jail, while his alleged accomplice, John Holmes, was strung up a few minutes later.
