This barn stood behind the "Morgan Tavern". It has been referred to as "Whitney Estate Barn" but it may have existed before the Whitney Estate bought the property in 1896. The barn and "Morgan Tavern" were deeded to the Commonwealth of Ma in 1922. In 1926, the property was traded to Myron Messenger for another piece of property he owed. Myron Messenger kept the property and buildings as a backup plan in case his farm, across and down the road, was ever destroyed by fire. In 1938, he sold the house to Fred and Genevieve Hutchinson, and the lot with the barn to someone else (Querco?). Sometime in the mid 20th century, the barn fell.
