Built with quarried irregular granite, contains some wood paneling from an 18th century house belonging to Eames family, likely Anthony. Original Eames home built in 1764 stood opposite this house. Philip Eames was born in that home 1787. "Old Glass Plate Neg" view in Sept. 13, 1914 Springfield Republican. Stone was quarried from summit rock in 1843.
