An envelope with the Robert H. Goddard eight cents stamp, canceled on the first day of the stamp's issue, October 5, 1964, Goddard's birthday. The envelope was canceled in Roswell, New Mexico where Goddard conducted his rocketry experiments from 1930 to 1942. He was an instructor and professor of Physics at Clark University from 1914 to 1943.
