<mods:abstract>South Boston, March 2nd, 1890 My dear Mr. Anagnos, Enclosed will you please find a letter which Capt. Keller requested me to forward to you, as he was not sure of your address. Your letters of the 5th ultimo were duly received, and it can hardly be necessary to add that your many friends read them with very great interest. They were sorry, however, that you did not say a word about your health. They have already begun to talk about your return, as though it were something in the near future, and I assure you, they look forward to that event with considerable satisfaction. I trust they are not to be disappointed, for I doubt if Helen would consent to leave Boston without seeing you. It was a long time after she came to the Institution before she fully realized that you would not come in a few days. She would tell me almost every day something she was going to ask you to do...</mods:abstract>
<mods:note>Handwritten letter from Anne Sullivan to Michael Anagnos, Director of Perkins School for the Blind. Anagnos was responsible for sending Anne Sullivan to Tuscumbia, Alabama to teach Helen Keller. The letter discusses observations and details relating to the early education of Helen Keller.</mods:note>
