In 1937, Benny Huffman caught three games at Fenway (May 26 and June 26/27). The Red Sox scored only one run, by Ben Chapman. The Red Sox base runner is almost surely third baseman Pinky Higgins. He scored two runs in the May 26, 1937 game in which Huffman was the St. Louis Browns catcher. In addition, Higgins scored a single run in the June 27 game against the Browns at Fenway with Huffman behind the plate for St. Louis (Society for American Baseball Research, 2010-2011, 2014-2015).
