Notes (historical):
"Groveside" stood across Summer Street from the town's first cemetery. It was also situated across the street from the college campus park, which was named in honor of Albert Gardner Boyden and his son Arthur Clarke Boyden, both long-serving faculty and heads of the Bridgewater Normal School. The house was torn down in the late 1950s by the college to build a dormitory, Pope Hall.
