The Thomas Jenner Goodwin House. House built by Deacon David Goodwin, grandfather of the Rev, George Goodwin, pastor of St. Mary's Church in Charlestown for several years. Deacon Goodwin's son, Thomas Jenner Goodwin, was the first of the family to live in this house. He used to have a bed of low phlox arranged so as to spell the name Washington. Like his father he served for several years in the state legislature and for one term in the state senate. He was one of the original members of the First Universalist Society here. (Sawyer pp. 72 and 73) House later occupied by James Adams and his family.
