High Street at head of Cordis, 1943. The small two story house at the left is known to have been occupied in early days as a paint shop for the householder in the three story house at 32 High St., with which it was, in those days, connected by a door in the wall. The little frame house appears in the sketch from the top of Bunker Hill Monument in 1848. The four story brick mansion on the opposite corner is a more recent structure. Today one-half of it is the home of Mr. Frank M. McCutcheon.
