Anne Morton thanks Maria Weston Chapman for a copy of the Liberty Bell. She wants Maria to write an encouraging letter to her society. She asks if a "sew'd Carpet" would sell at the anti-slavery fair. Morton says: "There are many right hearted men and women in the Free Church of Scotland, who will be found fighting in the Anti-Slavery cause." Morton praises James N. Buffum and Frederick Douglass. She gives the dates of the meetings of her society.
