Holograph, signed.
Sylvia Ann Ammidon had just had a visit from "the young married couple" [her brother Philip and his wife?] who returned to Lowell. Sylvia had a delightful summer in Groton. She says that "the society here is excellent." She gives a "slight account" of her friends, especially Judge Dana's family, his daughters, and son James. She tells of a fishing excursion. She will return to Boston in October. She stayed with Maria [Weston Chapman] when Phillip [Ammidon] was married.
