On item: This outside boat with the anchor on the bow, and two ropes out, is the D A Mills. I had build in Chester Pa and was out south in 14 months for Government the last boat I ever had. I was the first & last Capt. she ever had before we sold her to Government. She is now Custom House Boat here. When taken, was lying at Charleston Navy Yard. 1876.
