Shaw. At the beginning of the war he refused the offered bounty for enlistment, and afterward, he refused to accept a pension since he had not been injured. Father and son carried on a barber business on Main St. for decades before and after the Civil War. Town affairs were carried on for ten years without a Town Hall.
