A group of men and women sit at the beach, with the ocean at the right and a dune in the background to the left. Two women are sitting wearing sailor dresses, and another is reclining with her head to the left, towards the middle of the group. Two men are seated to the left, one facing front and the other to the right, and a young man (possibly a teenager) reclines with his head almost in the lap of the man next to him and his bear feet sticking out in front of a large dark umbrella that has been stuck top down into the sand. A couple of pairs of shoes can be seen near the group.
