Edward Norris Kirk writes to Amos A. Phelps to decline the invitation from Phelps’s church. He says his schedule and health does not allow him to comply. He then discusses the position taken by “the brethren” on the subject of foreign aid. (This last portion has been crossed out in pencil.)
