Letter from Oliver Johnson, [New York, N.Y. ?], to William Lloyd Garrison, 8 July, 1858
Description:
Oliver Johnson requests that William Lloyd Garrison send information concerning his report of the Framingham Convention as soon as possible, as he is particularly interested in publishing Wendell Phillips's speech. Johnson inquires if Garrison received his request for the return of his correspondence with Gerrit Smith. Johnson states that the proceedings of the Yearly Meeting will be published soon. Johnson asks Garrison to send him a "notice" concerning Francis Jackson, as Garrison has greater personal knowledge of Jackson.
