- Boys Party Ready for an Outing, The Royal Normal College for the Blind, England
A group of male students from Royal Normal College for the Blind in Upper Norwood, England sit on a cycle built for twelve in preparation for a day's run to Brighton and back, a distance of about 100 miles. This team, on July 4, 1900, rode the distance in 10 hours and 45 minutes, the riders being chosen from sixty candidates. The eleven blind cyclists (the second person can see and steers the cycle) had ridden an average of 300 miles each (in short trips) in preparation for this "century run".
