- Cycling Around the Cottage Grounds, The Royal Normal College for the Blind, England
Students at Royal Normal College for the Blind in Upper Norwood, England cycle through the cottage grounds. Leading the way is a group of female students riding a pedal cycle built for eight people. Behind them rides two groups of six men each on a cycle. Following them are two women on a tandem tricycle. In the background of the photograph are other students performing outdoor activities, including walking on balance beams, strolling and boating on a small pond. More students on multi-wheeled cycles can also been seen in the background. The college grounds were laid out with separate playgrounds and asphalt walkways for the different ages and genders, a cycle track and a small body of water for boating, flower beds, and gardens for the children. A notable feature of the grounds is the large number of beautiful shade trees and flowering shrubs.
