Christine Copeland was born and raised in a bilingual French-English family and moved around a great deal as her father was in the U.S. Army. She and her husband Bill Copeland, a pediatrician, raised their children in Northfield, MA, on a wooded piece of land where they still lived at the time of this interview. Copeland is an artist and illustrator of children’s books, and previously worked at Greenfield Community College. In this interview, Copeland discusses how she and her husband were on vacation in Georgia as COVID started to take over in the U.S. and their experience coming home as things started to close down. She also discusses how she maintained friendships and spent time outdoors during the pandemic and the role of medical disinformation in exacerbating the pandemic, among other topics.
