Letter from Oliver Johnson, New York, [N.Y.], to William Lloyd Garrison, June 5, 1872
Description:
Oliver Johnson writes that he has left William Lloyd Garrison (the elder) at the office of Charles McKim, and that he now requests, on the behalf of Garrison, that William (the younger) send to him the copy of "Pierpont's First Class Book" which Johnson states should be, according to the elder Garrison, in Frankie's room. Johnson states his presumption that William's mother has been informed of Mary Anne's illness and impending demise by his father.
