Letter from Samuel May, Jr., Leicester, [Mass.], to William Lloyd Garrison, May 5 / [18]72
Description:
Samuel May, Jr. writes William Lloyd Garrison informing him that he presently has a copy of Samuel Joseph May's memoirs in his possession, and states that he wishes Garrison to join him in reviewing the "anti-slavery portion" prior to his returning the copy to May. May, Jr. provides a tentative schedule for Garrison to join him, and urges Garrison to keep the reason for his visit, as well as May, Jr.'s involvement with the work, wholly confidential.
