Letter from Charles Lane, London, [England], to William Lloyd Garrison, Mar[ch] 24 / [18]54
Description:
Charles Lane writes William Lloyd Garrison informing him that, as a "sincere worker for humanity", he believes that Garrison will be pleased to receive Mr. Wm. J. Whitaker in Boston. Lane discusses briefly his efforts in the "movement for National Education", and his preference for both the Liberator and the North Star. Lane closes in stating his wish that Garrison make Whitaker's introduction to Dr. Walker Channing and others whom Lane describes as belonging to the "Sincere School".
