Description:
Henry Clarke Wright writes William Lloyd Garrison of his desire to see him and "hear or [Garrison's] glorious reception in Charleston", and proposes a visit to Garrison's home to meet with him prior to his travels leading up to the Annual Meeting in New York. Wright offers his thanks to God that Garrison's "voice has never been raised to create & intensify that spriit" prevailing since the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln, and comments favorably on Lincoln's spirit of mercy and reconciliation to even his "deadliest foes". Wright inquires if George Thompson is with Garrison, and if he will be when Wright proposes to pay Garrison a visit.
