Wendell Phillips forwards to William Lloyd Garrison a translation of the "Haytien proceedings in regard to John Brown", translated from the original French for the benefit of Mrs. Brown. Phillips argues for publication of the whole of the proceedings in the pages of the Liberator, for "the sake of Hayti".
