Description:
Samuel Joseph May writes William Lloyd Garrison stating that he is in need of the manuscript for his address delivered on July 4, 1840 at Debinton, and requests that Garrison forward this to him immediately. May states that the meeting in Hingham went well, and that he longs to have Garrison, Douglass, and Collins speak in Scituate. May states that it is a pity that Garrison did not give to him the parcel from Mrs. Chapman, stating that it contained items which she had wished May to distribute at the meeting.
