Robert F. Martineau thanks Francis Jackson Garrison for the photograph sent to him, calling it "admirable", and asserting that it depicts both the likeness and character of is subject. Martineau informs Garrison that he has also received the copy of the Woman's Journal with the copy of the addresses to William Lloyd Garrison. Martineau states that he was introduced to Aaron Powell, whose company he greatly enjoyed.
