- Class of 1958 celebrate May Day with the May Pole Dance, 1956
In the pole dance, students hold a lengthy ribbon like cloth and march in opposite directions, winding the ribbon around the pole. Given the changing of modern times, the pole dance is no longer performed. Students in later years preferred activities such as attending a Dance, Boston Red Sox baseball game, or going to the beach.
